Greetings from a snowy Hanover!

It's lonely here in the snow without the students present, but God still continues to amaze us with all the great things he does even while they are away. Just recently, a small group of Dartmouth students who are also leaders in Christian Union at Dartmouth, went on a ten day missions trip to Germany with a local church here in Hanover. They got to partner alongside a church in Germany and serve and learn from our brothers and sisters over there. Many of them were challenged with expressing their faith in a different culture. It is encouraging to see our students serve not just the Dartmouth community, but long to serve the greater, worldwide community of God's people. Please pray that God continues to raise up faithful men and women who are eager to give their time and hearts for the sake of others.

It can be typical for students to relapse into former habits as they go home for winter break—especially if their primary Christian community is at college. We have spent a good amount of time encouraging each of our students to be involved in their local churches as they venture home for the holidays. It is so essential for their spiritual vibrancy that they do not disconnect, but continue to stay plugged in. Please join us in prayer that the Lord brings a Godly burden to our students to commit to, love, and serve the body of Christ even when in unfamiliar territory.

The end is nigh for 2014 and we are eager to jump into 2015 with the students. We will be studying the book of Acts in our Bible courses for both winter and spring terms. The book of Acts presents a beautiful picture of how God shares his glory with humanity in order to proclaim His kingdom. We, as the church, are the lights and mouthpieces of creation seeking to restore humanity by living out the gospel on a day-to-day basis. We know that God will work mightily through this book. We ask for your prayers that the students are transformed by the richness and power found in the book of Acts.

The Dartmouth team hopes you have a wonderful Christmas time as well as a Happy New Year! We hope you spend quality time with family, seeking to love and serve them as Christ has loved and served us. We are so thankful for your many prayers on behalf of our work here with Christian Union at Dartmouth. Know that the students are blessed by your prayers and that your God is honored by such a commitment. Thank you!

Many blessings and much love in Christ.
