Friends,

What another fantastic year of ministry here at Brown University! Students have finished up exams, a sure sign that another school year, and, with it, another year of ministry, has come to an end. We were privileged to participate with God in this second year of Christian Union’s ministry here at Brown, witnessing student leaders take the reigns of the ministry for the first time and young men and women study the Scriptures with rigor and zeal only to turn and obey God’s Word by loving and serving one another and the campus at large. We were forced to make difficult decisions and walk the challenging road of ministry alongside one another – not every aspect of this past year of ministry was a mountaintop experience. And yet, through it all, God has proven over and over that He alone is faithful. Praise the Lord!

Other than continuing to pray for the students during these summer months, we would love it if you would join us in praying for our new Women’s Ministry Fellow, Laurel Copp. Laurel is already a part of our Christian Union family, serving students at Yale University. However, with her husband, Chip, recently accepting a pastoral position in Massachusetts, a move away from New Haven was necessary. Fortunately, God, being the good and wise Provider He is, has brought them to a church in a town not too far from Brown’s campus! So, not only has God providentially graced Laurel with a job she loves, but He has blessed Christian Union at Brown with a gifted woman of God to love and serve the young women on Brown’s campus. Please pray that Laurel and her family would have a safe and smooth transition out of New Haven to their new home at the end of May, that they would get settled as quickly as possible. Please also pray that God would grant each of us, Matt Woodard, Ministry Director here at Brown, Laurel and me, wisdom and strength as we not only learn to be a team, but also as we consider what God might do in and through us in the year to come.

As we praise God for what He is doing here at Brown and across all the Ivy League campuses through Christian Union’s ministry, I am reminded how indebted we are to your continued support and prayers. It is through the entire team that God has raised up, including you, that the brightest and most influential young men and women from around the world are being transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Grace and Peace,

Justin Doyle
