Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hard to believe that the fall semester is already coming to a close! In just a few short weeks, and after many coffee-fueled late night study sessions (who among us doesn\u2019t procrastinate?), our students will submit their final papers and take their last exams before heading home. We\u2019re all looking forward to a little rest after a busy season, but it\u2019s so bittersweet. We\u2019ve been blessed beyond measure by a truly wonderful group of young women and men who so eagerly seek the Lord! They\u2019ve poured their heart into one another and into spreading the love of Christ across campus. In a few days, we\u2019ll be putting up a Christmas tree in the Judson Center and celebrating Christmas together before saying many sad goodbyes as they leave campus.
\nThis is a season of reflection and gratitude, and in that spirit, we give praise to God for the good works we\u2019ve seen over the last few months. The students hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at the ministry center. They invited friends, prepared a feast, and spent the afternoon in richly inspired fellowship with one another. This has become an annual tradition for us, and it\u2019s always a delight to see new faces walk through the doors! There may be no better outreach activity than the simple act of hospitality\u2014warm food and open hearts.<\/p>\n
Please pray for staff as we try to connect with interested students. Many students are overwhelmed with anxiety and stress this time of year. Often, those very students who seem distant and disengaged suddenly need a listening ear and seek encouragement and comfort. Pray that both staff and students can meet these students with the grace and love of Christ; with Spirit inspired wisdom and tenderness.<\/p>\n
Likewise, pray for our students: for their safety as they travel, for their health as they board stuffy planes and congested airports, for their continued growth as the Lord works in their lives over the break.<\/p>\n
And, pray for the well-being of all the students this Christmas season. We often take for granted the safety and comforts of our own homes. Unfortunately, many students return to broken, difficult places. Pray that these students would be safe, warm, and well-fed. Pray that they would be surrounded by God\u2019s love and protection in all that they do.<\/p>\n
