Tolkien, Lewis and the Great War
7 – 9 pm
Admission is free, but RSVP is required
Unlike a generation of young writers who lost faith in the God of the Bible, Tolkien and Lewis produced epic stories infused with the themes of guilt and grace, sorrow and consolation. Giving an unabashedly Christian vision of hope in a world tortured by doubt and disillusionment, the two writers created works that changed the course of literature and shaped the faith of millions. Join us for an evening of exploration of this idea and the implications this has on faith today.

NYCU Salons are fashioned after the features that made earlier European salons famous – an inspiring venue for the exchange of ideas. NYCU Salons provide an intimate gathering for Christian leaders to develop strong ties, discussing topics that will strengthen both the intellectual and supernatural dimensions of your Christian faith. Expert speakers will go in-depth, and participants will have the opportunity to interact with the guest presenter as well as one another.
