2027 Christian Union Summer Projects
Mission to Las Juntas, Costa Rica, with Filter of Hope
Dates: Sat, May 29 – Fri, June 4, 2027
Christian Union is excited to be partnering with Filter of Hope for the second consecutive year to bring clean water and the gospel of Jesus Christ to villages where people desperately need both, this time in beautiful Costa Rica! Students across all our university ministries, you are invited to embark on a life-changing mission trip, where God will empower you to meet both physical and spiritual needs.
Take a look at some moments from CU’s 2026 trip with Filter of Hope to Guatemala:
This year, our Christian Union team will be staying at the Word of Life: Costa Rica Camp. The grounds are large and include a semi-olympic swimming pool, covered sports court, a rock climbing wall, and other recreational activities! This camp has bunk beds only, spacious bathrooms, and is located central to the communities we will be serving.
Filter of Hope’s compassionate gospel work spans four continents, with mission trips to Central and South America. To learn more about their work (and what you will do serving alongside them), please watch here: Filter of Hope’s Mission (YouTube Video 2:08). These trips are changing the lives of students like you. Check out firsthand testimonies here: How Students Are Impacted (YouTube Video 2:00). We have helpful resources to train you in raising support and to give you all the tools you need. We hope you will take advantage of this incredible opportunity to impact lives for the kingdom of God!

Rocky Mountain Summer Mission, with Cru
Dates: Tue, June 15 – Tue, June 29, 2027
Students across Christian Union’s university ministries are invited to spend two weeks exploring the beauty of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, and serving on campuses around Boulder, CO. Learn how to effectively share your faith and engage in spiritual conversation with other college students on campus. You will use the outdoors as a draw for outreach, inviting students on local day trips such as rock climbing and hiking. Then, experience how these activities can be a bridge to the gospel.
You will also get to experience a multi-day backpacking trip, rock climbing, rafting, hiking and camping, all while learning about yourself and your relationship with God through these experiences. Leave with next steps for personal and spiritual growth and tools to build relationships and share the gospel in your context.
There isn’t anything more powerful than experiencing a taste of the kind of life God created us to live. In fact, we believe it can change the course of your life.
