Mission Trip to Las Juntas, Costa Rica with Filter of Hope!
Christian Union is excited to announce our 2026 Summer Project! We are partnering with Filter of Hope to bring clean water and the gospel of Jesus Christ to villages in Costa Rica. From Saturday, May 30th to Friday, June 5th, students across our university ministries are invited to embark on a trip that promises to be life-changing.
Join us in this incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the power of bringing physical water as well as living water to those who need it most! You will be involved in changing the lives of people who do not have access to clean water by providing them a filter that benefits the whole village. You will then have the privilege to explain how this reflects what Jesus does in our lives. Filter of Hope’s compassionate gospel work spans four continents, with mission trips to Central and South America. Our Christian Union team will be staying at the Word of Life: Costa Rica Camp. The grounds are large with a semi-olympic swimming pool, covered sports court, a rock climbing wall, and other recreational activities. This camp has bunk beds only, with spacious bathrooms, and is located central to the communities we will be serving.
Each day, breakfast and dinner will be served at the base, but lunch will be determined by where distribution takes place. We will also have a beach day at one of the beautiful nearby beaches, along with lunch. This will be a great time to bond with fellow students and enjoy God’s creation.
Students who want to attend this mission trip will need to raise their own support from family and friends, a total of $2,300. We highly encourage all interested students to prayerfully proceed and take the first step by filling out our application (coming soon – as for now, please speak with your Ministry Director). We have helpful resources to train you in raising support and to give you all the tools you need to succeed in this! Once your application is approved, you will receive our fund-raising resources. We hope you will take advantage of this incredible opportunity to impact many lives for God’s kingdom!
