About the speaker
Os Guinness is an author and social critic. Great-great-grandson of Arthur Guinness, the Dublin brewer, he was born in China during World War II, where his parents were medical missionaries. He returned to England in 1957, and after studying at the University of London, he did his D.Phil in social sciences at Oriel College, Oxford.
He has written or edited more than 30 books, including The Call, Time for Truth, Unspeakable, A Free People’s Standard, and Providence and The Pilgrim’s Way. He has also been a frequent speaker at leading universities and conferences worldwide, and has been a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution and the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars. He is a senior fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.
