July 2020

Hello from Hanover and Christian Union Vox at Dartmouth College.

We are in Week 4 of the summer term, albeit virtually.

Please pray for our summer book studies. We have one study with the incoming first year students, the Class of 2024, and another for all the other students. Both groups are studying the book of Esther and examining the questions of God’s sovereignty and what it means to be a religious minority. Pray that these studies would challenge and grow the faith of our students as they grow closer to each other.

Please pray for all our students as they make decisions about their return to campus. Many students are wrestling with the decision to return or remain at home, and some students are considering deferring for a year. With so much uncertainty as to what campus life will look like, please pray for wisdom with decision making and a real sense of God’s peace in and through the process.

Please pray for Ministry Fellow, Dori Willeman, who is recovering from surgery and undergoing treatment for cancer. We are rejoicing that the surgery was successful and pray for a full return to health after more treatment in August.

Please pray for the staff as we try to plan for an academic year that will be unlike any we have ever encountered. Pray that God would fill us with creativity and energy as well as opportunities to connect with students amidst social distancing requirements.
