Last week I gathered with hundreds of NYC Christians in Times Square to bring peace to the chaotic city streets. The gathering was led by Dimas Salaberrios, evangelist, film maker, author, and ministry associate of Christian Union New York. Salaberrios, along with dozens of pastors, led in preaching the gospel, praying and mourning for the George Floyd family, and interceding for God’s peace and light in these times.
He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. — Daniel 11:32
Salaberrios, who is known to go to the front lines of tragic situations, called out the churches in NYC to take action. The children of the light need to shine Christ in public, so that the darkness doesn’t overtake our cities.
God is raising up His people across our nation who “shall stand firm and take action.” A proactive ministry called “Circuit Riders” went to ground zero of the present disaster. They went to the intersection where George Floyd was killed and preached the gospel and ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit. Dozens of people were saved, baptized, and healed.
We continue to pray that God will revive us and make American Christians those “who know their God” and therefore “stand firm and take action.”
