It’s hard to believe that the ministry at Harvard Law School has just completed its third year! Time has passed so quickly from when we first arrived on the campus in August 2013.
Students who served in our campus ministry from its beginning were among the many students who received degrees at graduation exercises this past May.
As might be expected, emotions were mixed as we celebrated student’s achievements but also recognized the sad reality of newfound friends heading off into their professional futures. But the personal sadness that staff might feel is more than offset by the spiritual growth and commitment we have watched mature over the past few years, and the spiritual opportunities that our God will provide for these young men and women as they seek to exercise the stewardship of spiritual gift and talent that they have been given.
A strong student executive team is in place for the coming academic year and the spiritual prospects look bright as we look forward to the advance of Christ’s kingdom here in Cambridge and beyond.
Please pray for the following requests:
- Pray that returning students would be refreshed and energized to share in the work of the ministry.
- Pray that new students would find their way into our fellowship
and make a spiritual home with us during their academic career. - Pray that our relationship with existing campus ministries would
be enriched and strengthened as we work to extend Christ’s
presence on campus. - Pray that faculty relationships with the student group would
likewise deepen and expand in the coming year.
With gratitude for your partnership in the Gospel,
Jim Garretson
