Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!
With the arrival of September all of our students have now returned to campus. In addition to the new 1L’s and returning 2 and 3L’s, we have opportunity this year to minister to several LLM students. Representing countries from around the world, LLM students have already completed law degrees and now attend Harvard Law School for completion of a one -year degree to add to their academic resume.
Like last year, several of our incoming students are also married with family. Together, they make up the mix of new and returning students who seek to share, live, and learn together as fellow Christians in their journey through the halls of legal academia.
Please be in prayer:
- God would bless our lives together in a bond of love and unity of spiritual purpose;
- That there would be deep hunger for study of His word and interest in our times of fellowship, prayer, and fasting;
- That new students would find a circle of supportive and encouraging Christian friends both for themselves and their families
Law school can be a place of great joy mingled with tremendous insecurities — especially during first year. An unfamiliar subject, new vocabulary, specialized writing styles, and classroom competiveness can put anyone on edge. Accordingly, general prayer for learning how to balance pursuit of God with the rigors of academic performance is greatly needed.
Continue to pray for a new ministry fellow for the team at Harvard Law. We eagerly await the individual God will raise up for this important location. Growth in student involvement is often related to ministry gifting, especially among the growing body of students whose lives have intersected together here in Cambridge.
Your servant in Christ,
