Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!
As the Fall 2016 semester winds down, students are engaged in completion of their final exams. Based upon a high, middle, or low pass model, exams weigh heavily in the final grade students receive for their academic efforts. Students who hope to become professors feel even greater pressure to secure a high level of performance evaluation critical to future employment opportunities.
The campus atmosphere remains divided in the aftermath of the recent presidential election. While emotions have settled, ideological differences that divide student opinion remain. Even the Christian community has been impacted by the differences of opinion and political perspective represented by our student constituency.
As before, please be in prayer:
- God would bless our lives together in a bond of love and unity of spiritual purpose;
- That there would be deep hunger for study of His word and interest in our times of fellowship, prayer, and fasting;
- That student reaction to the recent election demonstrate Christian rules of engagement for discussing how our culture can best flourish under God’s blessing;
- That the issues which polarize our country would not prove counterproductive to the presence of Christian campus ministry at the university and law school;
- For wisdom as we plan our spring 2017 schedule of events;
- For the arrival of new staff member Michael Wilkinson and his wife Darla as they settle into Cambridge and Michael’s new responsibilities;
- For wisdom in the selection and election of new student Executive Team members during the spring 2017 semester;
Your servant in Christ,
