Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!
Students have returned to campus and are now deep into their spring semester studies. Milder temperatures in January have given way to recurrent storms in February blanketing the Harvard community in the bright white of winter’s colors.
A recent international student’s day brought large attendance to an evening event hosted by HLS students. The global community was ably represented with home-cooked food samples from around the world. Students dressed in home country regalia and also provided entertainment characteristic of their culture.
Emotions were high this past fall during election season but have now subsided as time moves on.
As you bring our needs before the throne of grace, please be in prayer for the following:
- Michael and Darla Wilkinson. Michael joined the HLS team in December. With a background in law and theology, Michael brings legal and pastoral experience to the outreach at HLS. Pray for wisdom in learning how best to minister to the HLS community;
- Wisdom for our student Executive team as they plan our spring semester ministry activities and selection of new team members for the 2017 – 2018 academic year;
- Forthcoming job opportunities for graduating students. Most are confirmed but one is in flux with the recent judicial appointment to the Supreme Court currently awaiting review/approval;
- Blessing upon the supplemental readings provided to students to help support/enrich their understanding of how best to approach their work in the legal profession from a Christian perspective.
