Dear CU Gloria Law Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

“The cost of salvation for us–nothing. The cost of faith–everything.”

This gospel truth dropped on our students this semester as we are studying through Genesis (which the students requested). For the past few weeks, we have been digging deep into and wrestling with the life of Abraham, from chapters 12-23. We have tracked the evolving relationship between Yahweh and Abraham, with a special focus on what we learn of who God is and what He is like. It gives us a very special view into the foundation of God’s redemptive narrative that ultimately helps us understand the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And when we really know the gospel–both cognitively and experientially– it transforms us, setting us free to become the image-bearers of our Creator.

Christian Union Gloria Law at Harvard Law ending Bible Course with prayer

I want you to meet Will: he is in his last semester as a student at HLS. It was a little over a year ago that we sat down together in the law school’s pub, where we talked about Jesus and the good news. He did not come from any religious background. Ultimately, it was on that day he gave his life to Jesus. Since then he has been baptized, joined a good church, and we’ve met weekly to pray and study God’s Word. He has not missed a single Bible course since. He is growing in faith in leaps and bounds. He now understands that salvation cost him nothing–Jesus paid for it. But as he lives in this truth, he also knows that the cost of faith is everything. He embraces this truth!

Though this is only one story, there are many others. God is still working, and there is a growing excitement for the impact Christian Union Gloria Law can have on the campus. By God’s mercy and grace, we continue to engage the community around us with kindness & love, boldly proclaiming Jesus!

I ask that you continue to pray for our students on our executive team. We have our largest team ever with seven people who are “all in” on making an indelible difference on campus next year. There is momentum that is building, and we seek the Lord’s anointing upon the team and their vision for discipleship and evangelism on campus. Without your support and generosity none of this would be possible.

I am so grateful for you and the legacy of faithfulness that you model for our students and alumni. Thank you for partnering with us in developing Christian leaders to transform our nation’s culture!

In sincerity and appreciation,

Justin Yim
