Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Having returned from Ski Safari, the Spring Semester is now well under way—we are now in our fourth week of classes. Our students, true to form, have begun the Spring Semester with both intensity and excitement. This same intensity and excitement has been on display in our students’ spiritual lives—the Melrose Center has been bustling with students studying Scripture and praying with one another. This Spring our students are studying different material in Bible Course, based on their class year. Our seniors will be doing vocational preparation, as they look to enter the workforce; our juniors and sophomores are studying one of the most influential books in the Scripture—Paul’s letter to the Romans; and our frosh, in turn, are completing two studies—one on the Seeking-God Lifestyle, which lies at the heart of Christian Union, and another on Christian sexual ethics. The Spring semester is always an exciting time for students of seeing how God’s word applies to many aspects of their lives.
As promised, we wanted to give you an update on Ski Safari. By God’s grace, this was once again a very impactful time in the lives of our students. James Roberson, from the Bridge Church in New York City, delivered two powerful messages to our students and, on the final night, the students were able to have an extended time sharing what God is doing in their lives. As a result of Ski Safari, we have sensed continued momentum in our ministry. This momentum is evidenced in increased attendance at extended times of prayer among our students, a number of new students joining Bible Courses, and students indicating their interest in serving regularly in our ministry. We know this growth to be a direct result of your prayers for us and for Ski Safari—thank you again for your prayers for our ministry.
Please continue to lift up every aspect of our ministry in prayer. In addition to these general prayers, this month we would specifically ask for prayer for the following:
- Student Executives: We are so excited about our Student Executives and their sincere devotion to God. Please pray that God continues to grow these four student leaders in their faith and that God would use them to create a stronger culture of prayer and discipleship in our ministry.
- Growth in Prayer: Please pray for growth in prayer—that students would continue to desire to seek God’s face in prayer and that they would encourage others to do the same.
- Upperclassmen Growth in Bible Courses—We have had a number of new freshmen join Bible Courses this Spring. We would love to see this same thing occur in our sophomore, junior and even senior Bible Courses. Would you pray specifically for this?
Thank you for your prayers and financial support of our work in Princeton!
Grace and peace,
Ryan Reed
