The 2020-21 school year is nearing its end and your prayers have made a difference on the Princeton University campus!
Christian Union Nova is thriving because student leaders are working to fulfill the vision. Within each student executive, assistant Bible course leader (ABCL), and student leader, there has been sincere compassion towards one another and a commitment to ensure that the CU Nova community is present and viable. Through large group meetings (i.e., Encounter and TruThursday), Bible courses, weekly prayer meetings, and discipleship for incoming freshmen, active ministry took place during a very challenging time.
The year included a study of the Gospel of Mark and the book of Acts. CU Nova hosted a night of helpful and healthy conversations regarding race relations. Panels by Princeton alumni regarding faith in medicine and the legal practice were presented. Students offered an all-night prayer meeting. CU Nova joined Christian Union Lux (Yale) in hearing from Vince Vitale, “A Skeptic’s Journey.” And, in the spring semester, the Robert L. Melrose Center was again a welcoming haven for students! Seniors joined Christian Union’s mentor program to ensure a smooth transition from college life into next endeavors, and Dr. Robert Gagnon, Professor of Theology at Houston Baptist University, closed the year with a talk about human sexuality. It was a beautiful discourse that punctuated the Sex and Spirituality Bible course recently presented to the freshmen class.
Truly, the kindness of our Father was on display, as Ministry Fellow Dr. Cameron Garven recently said, “the ministry is growing deeper” because students demonstrated the meaning of commitment to Christ and one another while maintaining academic responsibility. His words could not have better summarized the year!
It is all a testament to your prayers and the sacrifice you have made to love students at Christian Union Nova! Thank you!
If you’d like to continue praying, please pray for the following:
- New Ministry Director identified this summer;
- Students within Bible courses remain connected;
- Incoming freshmen connect to the Christian community at Princeton; and,
- The graduating class remain established in Christ and fruitful for the Savior!
Thank you again, and Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers!
Agapé!
