Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
- Proverbs 19:21
His purpose fulfilled—that’s our heart’s cry!
Plans were made to ensure that newcomers and returning students were welcomed to Christian Union Nova for a strong spiritual and academic year despite the effects of a pandemic. Our Father has not only honored those plans, but He has heard all of our prayers and superseded every expectation. Glory to God!
For the last six weeks, student leaders and staff have implemented plans to introduce freshmen and reacquaint upperclassmen to the CU Nova community. The Melrose Center served as a comfortable space for a cook-out; students gathered for a pseudo-tailgate party; we returned to Campus Club for an Open House; and, staff has had constant one-on-one meetings at eateries on and off Nassau Street. From candy shops to healthy havens, students have been introduced to one another and the vision of Christian Union at large. From the House of Cupcakes to “Junbi’s,” a new hotspot for matcha tea, God’s purposes are being fulfilled as students say “yes” to Bible course!
It’s a labor of love and a rewarding opportunity to see God’s faithfulness at work in the lives of young adults. Not only are new students responsive, but several readily serve without hesitation and share their convictions for Jesus Christ without reserve! Jesus is exalted here at Princeton! And God’s purposes are being fulfilled as we host our first fall retreat this weekend and begin the study of Philippians next week!
With that, thank you for praying! And here are a few things to keep in mind as you continue to pray:
- Student faithfulness to Bible courses.
- Greater revelation of Jesus that leads to greater dedication to Christ.
- Healthy and strong relationships with peers within the Bible courses.
May the purposes of our God be fulfilled through all generations!
Agapé!
