Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Faith is rising at Christian Union Nova as relationships with our Savior are formed and forged through Bible courses and large group fellowships!

CU Nova officially welcomed Mike Vincent as a Ministry Fellow for the spiritual development of young men. With his addition to the team, senior men are engaging the Vocational Prep Bible Course with “ah-ha!” moments of excitement when considering how theology shapes their work and stewardship as they prepare for life beyond Princeton. Junior and sophomore men are digging into Romans and learning to think deeply about the implications of the gospel, the life of faith, and the full purpose of their salvation. Finally, freshmen men are soaking up the need for a Seeking God Lifestyle “like a sponge!” They are hungry for the things of God and eager to seek Him and glorify Him on campus. In effect, the men’s Bible courses have grown numerically and spiritually. Glory to God, He’s answering our prayers!

Meanwhile, our women continue to thrive when considering what it means to reconcile faith in Christ with a worldview that is antithetical to the ways of God. It’s a time of vulnerable reflection and discussion as the book of Romans is understood, as well as used, to determine how to crucify, or deny, self in order to consciously live in the newness of life made possible through faith and by His grace. It has been an eye-opening time of ministry that, like our men, has resulted in new levels of commitment to the ways of God.

We’re witnessing the gentle hook of the Good Shepherd on display in our students which has led to strong attendance at Encounter and TruThursday. Throughout Black History Month we have hosted special guests Dr. Voddie Baucham, Dr. Van Gayton, Rev. Dean Nelson (from the Frederick Douglass Institute), Mr. Bob Woodson (from the Woodson Foundation), and Secretary for the State of the Virginia Commonwealth, Mrs. Kay James. These talks have challenged some ideologically, but have also led to helpful conversations. Finally, the National Collegiate Day of Prayer led to fervent intercession by students desiring the presence and power of God at Princeton University like never before.

It's been a rich semester! And our prayers continue for an equally, if not greater, close to a strong school year. By the grace of God, we are sustained, and by your prayers, we are encouraged!

If you will continue praying, we trust God for:

  1. An announcement of our Ministry Director before the summer begins;
  2. Success for graduating students as they write their theses and secure goals outside of undergraduate studies;
  3. Safe travels and health for students leaving campus for spring break, in a couple of weeks; and,
  4. Additional students coming to faith through the ministry provided at Christian Union Nova.

Our God is faithful and we are forever grateful to Him for His kindness expressed through you as we work together for His Kingdom and sake.

Agapé!

D. Qwynn Gross
