I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. Psalm 145:5-7Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Spring has launched and we’ve been on a rollercoaster of God’s goodness!
Christian Union Nova student leaders began an initiative called Restoring Hearts Ministry and have collected clothes from peers all over campus to give to people in need. It has been a beautiful display of God’s love and intentional regard for others in the midst of spring break and work-loads that keep the strongest of students preoccupied. Leaders have demonstrated what it means to care—it is God’s goodness at work!
Our men’s Bible courses continue to grow! After a trip to Philadelphia for a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game, not only were young men willing to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ thereafter, but discipleship is now happening! Even more, students whose attendance had begun to wane are returning with eagerness, one by one! Unfamiliar faces sit nodding their heads to affirm the clarity of Scripture as Mike Vincent expounds on what the newness of life in Christ actually means. We’re seeing His goodness!
We’ve welcomed Vince and Jo Vitali to talk to students about relationships at our LLS. New York Times best-selling author Dr. Stephen Meyer came to talk about science and God. Pastor Jack Deere beautifully presented what it means to be a friend of God and walk in fellowship with Him. In sum, it has moved the needle of spiritual growth and diversity in large group attendance—God’s goodness at work!
And, after a year and half of constant prayer for a ministry director, His goodness is on display as Christian Union Nova welcomes Dr. Christopher Coppernoll to the team! Chris brings a wealth of ministry experience, academic strength, a breadth of leadership skills, and a huge heart for people. After a brief introduction, our students welcomed him with warmth, celebration, and anticipation.
The ushering in of spring has indeed brought evidence of our Father’s goodness throughout Christian Union Nova, and we couldn’t be more grateful to God and thankful for you. Because of your prayers, your care, and your interest, we can share. So, please don’t stop! Don’t stop praying with and for us. Pray for…
- Chris’ smooth transition with his family into Princeton and his new role;
- Student ownership in sharing Christ with others;
- Continued increase of attendance in all Bible courses and large group meetings;
- and, pray for a full return of staff to fulfill the vision!
With our intentional pursuit of Him, I believe more of God’s goodness is on the horizon!
Agapé!
