“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.” - Colossians 1: 3-5!
God is using your prayers to help grow the ministry at CU Nova and develop future Christian leaders. Thank you!
October marked the end of our Freshman Welcoming Campaign and the start of midterm studying. While students began to feel the pressure of their academic workload, I’m encouraged by the vibrancy of our community and their desire to seek the Lord! CU Nova is officially comprised of more than 50% freshmen! It is so wonderful to see the ministry growing by leaps and bounds and the excitement and engagement present among all. The students enjoyed a week of fall break while our Student Ministry Team Leaders made preparations for upcoming outreach events, retreats, socials, and many other initiatives to ensure our ministry is thriving!
Our various Student Ministry Teams offer students a chance to grow in their leadership capabilities as they serve the CU Nova community as well as Princeton more broadly. Our current teams are: Leadership Lecture Series, Outreach, Socials, Worship, and Communications. The two leaders of each team collectively meet with the Officers as the Exec Team. This creates a wonderful dynamic of camaraderie and student ownership. Last Saturday our Exec Team came together for leadership training where they learned principles of biblical leadership that will serve them for the rest of their lives. It’s fun to see the students get excited about their training and catch the vision for Christian leadership, both in their Princeton context and for their futures.
Please pray that our students continue to grow in their leadership for the sake of God’s kingdom at Princeton. Please pray that our student ministry teams grow, thrive, and bear much fruit in their respective responsibilities. And please continue to pray for the hiring of a ministry director and part-time women’s ministry fellow to join our existing faculty to help serve all of our students.
If you missed the recent article in The Magazine featuring one of CU Nova’s students who recently led another student to Christ, feel free to read it here.
If you missed the recent article in Christianity Today, highlighting Christian Union and other ministries’ campus response to the Israel-Hamas war, feel free to read it here.
Lastly, it would be a blessing if you would consider a one-time or recurring gift to help continue the work God is doing through CU Nova at Princeton. If you are led to donate to make Christ known at Princeton, you can use this secured link:
