Dear Prayer Partners,
Happy Christmas!! It is amazing to think that another year, by God’s grace, has come and gone. As we bid farewell to our students, our ministry staff here at Yale have also undergone significant transition: this month we bid Chris Matthews, our founding ministry director, and his family farewell after 6.5 years at Yale.
He has taken an associate pastor position at First Baptist Tulsa and we wish him and his family the very best in this time of transition. Please pray for him and Micah, as they adjust to their new roles, help their children adjust to a new place, and anticipate the birth of a fourth child in April.
In the providence of God, our men’s ministry fellow, Clay Cromer has been willing to take the helm and is already strategizing about how to move the ministry forward in new ways to reach the campus and bring glory to God. Please pray for him, new to the area in July, and his family as they adjust to the new demands of filling the director role and that God would provide for their every need in Christ. Please pray for our team that God would continue to unite our hearts in love and mission here at Yale. Pray for our meetings as we team to be fruitful and set us up well for the new semester. It has been a great privilege and joy to work with them this semester and I am confident that God has many good things in store for us!
Finally, please pray that the Lord would bring a men’s ministry fellow to fill the role that Clay left vacant in switching to director—that it would be the right person for the job and that we would be able to start the new semester and new year as a complete team. Pray for our students to adjust well to all of the staffing changes and to take ownership of the ministry in new and innovative ways.
As we close out the year, we wish you every blessing in Christ and the joy of his presence this Christmas. We could not do what we do without your partnership and we are so very thankful for you!
