Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We could not do what we do without you lifting us up in prayer. Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming! On October 10, after months of preparation and prayer, we welcomed Ravi Zacharias and Abdu Murrary to campus for an open forum at Battell Chapel entitled "The Quest for Meaning in a Post-Truth Culture." There were about 650 in attendance and the evening included talks by each speaker as well as a 45 minute question and answer session. You can find the whole event at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iqcRojQ7DQ.
Please pray for our ministry faculty as well as our students to have rich conversations in follow-up with attendees who have sought it (through cards they were able to submit at the end of the event), as well as ones who may not have sought formal follow-up, but still have questions. We have noticed a great deal of spiritual interest this fall and pray that events like this would draw people into further dialogue as they seek answers to life’s most challenging questions. Please pray for events that we plan and a potential apologetics group forming, that we would follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit in continuing to reach out. Finally, please pray for boldness in prayer and witness among our students and our staff as we spend time on campus day by day.
Finally, my husband and I hope to be holding our baby daughter, Hannah, about a month from now. She is our third child and we pray that her life would be one marked by spiritual fervor and prayer to our Lord. Please pray for me as I finish up and transition to life with a newborn that I would find my hope and strength in the Lord. I anticipate that one of my colleagues will write these prayer letters in my absence, so if you don’t hear from me, you’ll know where I am!
May God bless and keep you and make his face to shine upon you.
