Dear Prayer Partners,
We are so grateful for your prayers always. This past Sunday, I was reminded of a profound truth in Hebrews 7:25 — “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” Jesus Christ, who is alive at the Father’s right hand is himself praying for us. He maintains a fervent and faithful prayer watch, talking to the Almighty Father on our behalf who is able to do anything. Thank you for the prayers you lift up to the living Savior concerning us, our students, and our campus.
Here are a few ways you can pray this month:
Pray in general for our students scattered all over the world, from China to right here in New Haven. Pray that they would be sober-minded, standing firmly in their faith, and making wise choices under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Pray that students would fight any spiritual drift or drowsiness and would instead hold fast to the truth. Pray that they would be able to love and glorify Christ in their work, internships, and rest over the summer, even grasping a little more how much the King himself loves them.
Pray for the incoming first-year class of 2022. Pray for a willingness on their end to step into a Christian community and commit to following Christ with others at Yale. Pray that God would send us leaders of character and conviction in this class! On the other side of the table, pray that our ministry have a deep, wide, warm and effective reach to every new student that comes to campus in August!
Pray for the Christian Union All-Staff Conference, August 5-11 at Sandy Cove Maryland. This key annual event is an invaluable time of reconnecting, training, and seeking the Lord together. We need the Holy Spirit to orchestrate all the movements within the week. Pray especially for powerful and pervasive unity across our ministry. We need the Lord to show up for us there, and we need to be strong together across the whole ministry going into the new school year.
Thanks for praying and stay in touch.
