“… if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard …” Colossians 1:23
Dear Prayer Partners,
Praise be to Christ Jesus, the only sure foundation upon which we stand here at Yale! This semester, we're seeing in Colossians how the only way to continue in the Christian life is the same way that we began in the Christian life—by grace, through faith!
There are several ways you can be praying for us:
Fall Retreat (11-13 October) was a time of deep encouragement and spiritual growth. We were both blessed and challenged by our speaker and friend, David Taylor, who taught so that we would “not be uninformed” (1 Cor 12:1) on the spiritual gifts, their role in building up Christ’s body, and their role in evangelism. Our students left the weekend having heard from the Lord and with plenty of new things to think about. Please pray for them to take the next steps of faith & obedience in response to what God showed them at Fall Retreat!
Prayer board. Our Student Exec team has assembled a prayer bulletin board, which is currently filled with all kinds of requests for community growth, friends & family to know Christ, healing for illness, comfort in affliction, etc. The staff & many of the students are committed to praying for these specific requests regularly. I ask that you would pray for God to incline his ear & answer these requests. We want to see all of the requests to move from the “Request” side of the prayer board to the “Answered” side of the board!
CU Lux Alumni Panel 1 Nov. We have a special opportunity for some CU Lux Alumni to interact with our students in a Q&A panel format on Friday, 1 Nov. Pray that this time would really cut to the heart so that our students & alumni would come away mutually encouraged in the Lord.
Thank you for your prayers, which are working always. Continue in the faith!
Warmly,
Clay Cromer
