I love the long New England spring and earliest glimpses of summer, complete with vivid green grass and blue skies. These annual transformations flood our senses and happen right on cue per God’s decree each May. This year, however, we missed seeing one of the most satisfying transformations of all—the procession of graduates flowing through Phelps Gate into old campus on Monday, May 18th. We know they celebrated uniquely in each of their homes, but the caps, gowns, and sweet smiles of victory and triumph are always a joy to see!
In the mystery of God’s work, some of the most profound change is also unseen. Romans 5:5b says, “God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” While God gives us many gifts to see and enjoy each day, even this most magnificent gift of His love coming to flood our hearts is a life-giving grace imparted to us in the unseen realm. May your heart and mine be open wide to receive all of His love!
While the school year has ended, we are continuing the ministry through the summer. Here’s how you can pray!
- Blessings over our 2020 graduates as they go and serve the Lord beyond Yale.
- Pray for Spirit-filled gatherings, unprecedented turnout, and even incoming first-years to join our 6-week *virtual* summer study on Revelation!
- We need direction, wisdom, creativity and more from the Lord with the prospects of potentially welcoming 2024 into the ministry through virtual means.
- Continued grace and favor in raising new Christian Union Cornerstone Partners who would like to partner with our ministry financially.
Thank you for contending before God who works mightily in both the seen and unseen realms through your prayers! The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective!
