In these challenging times, I hope that you have been able to guard and keep your joy in the Lord. The joy of the Lord is a wonderful source of strength, and I have been noticing recently how easy it can be for a past problem or future uncertainty to steal the fullness of joy that God has for us in the present moment. Remember Jesus’s desire that His joy may be in us and our joy may be full (John 15:11)!
Here’s how you can pray for us at CU Lux:
- For a general spirit of encouragement across our 20 student leaders. They have stepped up in extraordinary ways to teach/facilitate Bible courses this semester and disciple one another. We are in a ‘distributed season’ where we’re meeting and ministering across time zones and across the world. This combined with the mounting demands of remote learning can add up to a lot. Please pray for their joy to be full!
- For flourishing Bible course communities. With constraints on gathering as a large group, our students are doubling down on the resolve to flourish in their Bible courses. Chitra and I are coaching all of the student facilitators for these, and we’re rejoicing at the desire many students have for a substantive, Christ-honoring community. May God cause their friendships to flourish and may their corporate witness in how they love one another radiate the glory of Christ all over our campus.
