Something big is continuing to stir at Yale! This past month has been nothing short of remarkable. God is moving mightily at Yale, and we are seeing students boldly proclaim the gospel like never before.
Night after night, 20-25 students are walking across campus, sharing the good news of Jesus and praying with their peers. The hunger for truth is undeniable. Just before our evangelistic prayer and worship event at Battell Chapel on February 21-22, an email titled, “What is the Purpose of Your Life?” was sent out to every student on campus. That email ignited a firestorm of discussion, going viral on Yale’s internal social media platform, Fizz, with 2,100 comments in a single day! The curiosity and spiritual hunger this initiative sparked is overwhelming.
At the worship night, 250 students gathered to seek God, and at least 17 made a decision to surrender their lives to Jesus. You can watch a short clip of the energy of this event here.
One international student from China, attending his second Christian event, asked us with deep sincerity, “How do I have this God you talk about in my life? In my country, they cut me off from this God you talk about.” As Pastor Carter Conlon and I prayed for him, he dropped to his knees, then looked up and declared, “I want to be the one who brings China back to God.” Moments like these remind us why we press forward.
This is just a glimpse of what’s happening at Yale through CU Lux. The spiritual atmosphere is shifting. Students are stepping into boldness, evangelism is increasing, and the kingdom of God is advancing in powerful ways.

Looking Ahead: A Special Guest on Campus
We are excited to announce that Dr. James Tour—a world-renowned scientist and bold witness for Christ—will be speaking at Yale this month on the “Scientific Evidence for the Existence of God.” Dr. Tour is the T.T. and W.F. Chao Professor of Chemistry, Professor of Computer Science, and Professor of Materials Science and Nanoengineering at Rice University. His groundbreaking research and deep faith have made him a powerful voice in both the scientific and Christian communities.
For more on Dr. Tour’s work and impact, visit: http://jmtour.com.
Please continue to pray for open hearts, divine appointments, and a greater outpouring of God’s Spirit on this campus. The harvest is plentiful, and we are seeing the first fruits of a mighty move of God.
Blessings in Christ,
Jeffrey Walsh
