Christian Union
Christian Union is completely dependent on God to provide needed resources through its financial partners. While annual gifts are the lifeblood of this growing ministry, many partners also have a desire to include Christian Union in their family legacy. These “legacy gifts” can provide important tax-saving benefits and income for life to the giver and their loved ones and help to ensure that generations of men and women will continue to be trained and discipled with the Gospel, with the ultimate goal of equipping leaders who have submitted their lives and vocations to Christ.

Charitable Bequest
One of the easiest ways to make a legacy gift is to designate a portion of your estate to Christian Union. See your estate planning attorney about adding this language to your will/trust: “I hereby give to Christian Union Inc., a New Jersey-based nonprofit corporation with its principal offices at 19 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, NJ 08542, tax ID number 22-3834440, the sum of [Insert dollar amount, percentage of estate or property description] to be used for its general purposes.”

Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract between the ministry and an individual, funded with cash or appreciated assets, such as real estate or securities. The gift (partially tax-deductible) is put in a reserve account and invested, and the individual, or the individual and spouse, will receive regular payments for life. At the end of the contract, Christian Union retains the remainder of the original gift. Gifts of appreciated securities are particularly attractive to some donors, as this can reduce or eliminate capital gains tax liability.

IRA Rollover
If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a gift to Christian Union by directly distributing funds tax free from your individual retirement account. The charitable distribution is not included in your adjusted gross income (AGI), so you benefit even if you do not itemize deductions on your tax return. The contribution (up to $100,000 per year) counts toward your annual required minimum distribution (RMD) and counts towards your mandatory distribution.

Thank You
When the mission of an organization intersects with the ministry passion of joyful givers, kingdom work flourishes. Christian Union is so grateful for legacy gifts, which are an integral part of a thriving and long-lasting ministry. Thank you to everyone who makes the transformative work of Christian Union a reality.
