Gifts Must be Postmarked by Dec. 31, 2018
Congress made the IRA Charitable Rollover permanent. If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a gift to Christian Union by directly distributing funds tax free from your individual retirement account.
The charitable distribution is not included in your adjusted gross income (AGI), so you benefit even if you do not itemize deductions on your tax return. The contribution counts toward your annual required minimum distribution (RMD).
You can contribute up to $100,000 per year tax free directly from your IRA.
Your gift, all of it, given by December 31, 2018, supports Christian Union’s ministry to develop Christian leaders.
Contact your IRA custodian, and direct them to make a 2018 distribution to Christian Union.
