eNews Header

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
— 1 Peter 2:11-12

Senator 01

Culture Matters is a podcast, produced by The Village Church in Texas, that explores the intersection of faith and culture. Christian Union Day & Night Invites You to Pray for Our Nation

By CU Day & Night
From Christian Union

Christian Union Day & Night is continuing to build a network of Christians across America who will commit to praying for our nation for 15 minutes per day for one month — or for multiple months — per year. During such a tumultuous time in our nation, your prayer is needed more than ever. We will cry out to God together, asking Him to move powerfully in our country. As part of the prayer team for the Day and Night community, you will stay connected by receiving regular emails for motivation.

Love the Life You Never Wanted

By Marshall Segal
From DesiringGod.org

LifeYouNeverWanted 5

We tend to define our life based on our perception of our progress. Am I where I thought I would be at this age? Have I achieved what I thought I would? Are my dreams more or less real today? Am I happy in my marriage, my family, my position at work? Is my life successful? In reality, life is never...

Prayer Requests

UNIVERSITY MINISTRIES
Please pray for the students involved in Christian Union as they wrap up their semesters. With finals already underway at many of the schools, pray for the students to continue to seek God first, to be a light to their peers on campus, and for the non-Christian students considering the Gospel — that they would continue to seek truth. Please pray for divine appointments for our ministry faculty as they wend their way toward Christmas.

CITY MINISTRIES
This past week has been a time of giving thanks with intentionality and in faith — knowing that we are to give thanks in all things. We rejoice that God continues to work in this remarkable city in myriad ways, some of which we are privileged to see first-hand. Lives are redeemed, relationships are restored, and the ways of the city are remade – all to reflect God’s glory and His intentions.

CHRISTIAN UNION DAY & NIGHT
Praise God for Day and Night’s first year motivating American Christians to seek God fervently. We reached nearly 40,000 people. Pray that our reach would multiply and that God will draw closer to us as tens of thousands draw closer to Him.
