We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
— 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Moving Beyond "God Won't Give You More Than You Can Handle"

By Colin Mattoon
From Biblical Counseling Coalition

By Jesse Peterson

Prayer Requests

UNIVERSITY MINISTRIES
As we approach Thanksgiving, we are thankful for the students God continues to draw into our university ministries. We see many who are growing deeper in their faith as they study the scriptures through Bible courses and fellowship with other Christians. Some are searching and hearing the truth of the Gospel in meaningful ways for the first time. Students are discovering the healing power of God's Holy Spirit and living out their faith touching others. For all of God's mighty work with each of our ministry teams, we invite you to join us in giving heartfelt thanks. May God richly bless you this Thanksgiving season!

CITY MINISTRIES

We are thankful for the opportunity to have hosted several events this past month - the Finance & Faith Forum (Oct 24th), a salon on evangelism with Ken Fish (Oct 31st) and a forum with N.T. Wright about the research for his new book, The New Testament in Its World: An Introduction to the History, Literature, and Theology of the First Christians (Nov 14th). Please join us in prayers of thanksgiving for these enriching gatherings of our community and pray that God would strengthen us as Christian leaders through the insights shared at these events.

DAY & NIGHT

We're thanking God for the ten days of The Great Experiment, which wrapped up November 10th. One participant shared: "Your straightforward teachings in the short videos have been profoundly piercing. God has used me in new ways as I’ve stepped out and stepped it up in His effective, working power." Praise God for impacting the lives of those who sought Him in an intense way during the first ten days of November.
