Prayer Requests
Pray for students involved in Christian Union at Yale as they engage in a month-long event entitled, "A Day in the Life of...", an opportunity to engage in dialogue with Muslims and Jews on a weekly basis. Discussions will be held each week and the month will conclude with a communal dinner. Particularly pray for one ongoing conversation that has begun with a Christian and a Jewish student, and more to follow. The two have decided to meet and share passages from both the Old and New Testaments.
Praise the Lord for answering the prayers of Christian Union faculty and students at Columbia University for a meeting space for their weekly leadership lecture series—called Illumina—for the remainder of the semester.
Please pray for the growing discussions regarding LGBT issues at Penn, Harvard, and other campuses. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and for the Christian students to speak truth and love in a way that demonstrates the love and truth of the gospel and continues to transform the communities around them.
Praise God for a well-attended and very successful New York City Christian Union Salon on the topic of "Integrity and Identity in Business". NYCU Salons provide an intimate gathering for Christian leaders to develop strong ties, discussing topics that will strengthen both the intellectual and supernatural dimensions of your Christian faith. The speaker articulated a perspective on engaging in business for the common good, as part of the redeeming of all things.
