Adora America Event at Madison Square Garden Created Altar of Unity

On July 5, 2024, powerful worship and prayer filled the atmosphere of Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan, as thousands of believers gathered to unite to give glory and honor to God. Matt Bennett, founder and president of Christian Union, a ministry that works to develop Christian leaders at strategic universities and cities across the U.S., was honored and humbled to pray for the corporate Body of Christ as part of this event held by Adora America.
Adora America "looks to collaborate with God in connecting the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in a region, so that we might preach the gospel and flood the earth with the message of the Kingdom of God. As part of a previous move of God amongst the Hispanic community in this region, in 1998, the church declared New York as the city of God."
Adora America's website further explains that since 1998, their ministry received a powerful message from the Lord about the significance of an altar. "An altar is so much more than just a place to sing and preach - it's a place where we offer ourselves up to God. God commanded us to build an altar in a city, a nation, and a continent, and that's exactly what we did." In an important sense, then, this worship event was much more than a Christian concert or gathering--it served as an altar in NYC-- a space dedicated to offer our lives in devotion to and love of the Lord.
Adora America's vision was initiated by Carlos Jimenez, and confirmed by other key leaders in the city. "Since the start we were able to organize altars of worship in New York City (2003), the Dominican Republic (2007), and throughout the Americas (2012). "It's incredible to think about how far we've come since the initial revelation of the altar as a place of unity. Now, twelve years later God has amplified the revelation of the altar through the Scripture as a place of unity for the corporate son to be assembled. It is in this place of oneness, the Church is empowered and motivated by God to continue its call in fulfilling the Great Commission. An altar is not just a moment, but it is the starting point of perpetual revival and connection between the Body of Christ" (Adoraamerica.org).
The event featured a lineup of speakers, including Carlos Jimenez, Sam Soleyn, Bienvenido Paz, as well as Bishop and Joseph Mattera. Music was led primarily by Bethel Español. This gathering of thousands on July 5, 2024 in NYC was an incredible opportunity for believers to come together and be empowered by God our Father to fulfill His purpose. The evening served as a beautiful representation of unity and surrender to the Lord in one of the most influential cities in our nation. To God be all the glory, for He alone is worthy.
