Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

The Two Shall Become One Flesh: Reclaiming Marriage
By Evangelicals and Catholics Together
From First Things
In the Gospel of St. Mark, the Lord Jesus teaches that “from the beginning of creation ‘God made them male and female.’” He then declares a great and beautiful truth inscribed in creation: “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh” (Mark 10:6–8).

Christ's Crowning Glory
By Luke Foster
From Columbia Crown & Cross
This article was originally published in the Columbia Crown & Cross, and was written by a senior who is involved in Christian Union's ministry at Columbia.
Every Columbian has seen our University's crest a thousand times. It is to be found on everything from that delightful admissions letter to the flags flapping above South Lawn to the 116th Gates. But how often do we really stop to think twice about what that image—the crown topped by a cross and flanked by two more—really means?

Apologetics of Love
By Jesse Peterson
From Christian Union, the Magazine
At the risk of an absurd reductionism, I'd like to propose an audacious thesis: that in Western history there have been only two distinct ethical philosophies. Prayer Requests
Please pray for students at the universities where Christian Union works, most of whom are nearing the end of the semester. Burnout and an overwhelming amount of work and projects are common. Pray for God's strength and for students to trust him as they finish their work.
At Columbia a recent student demonstration against what protestors called "the rape culture" signaled a hunger for change. Sexual assaults and rape are a common—and often hidden—reality that touch the lives of students far too often. Pray with Christian Union students that God would use them to bring about healing and the restoration of a healthy sexual ethic on campus.
Please pray for Christian Union as it enters a season of hiring new ministry faculty for the fall.
