Friends,
We are back into the swing of things here at Brown as our Freshmen Welcoming Campaign is underway. Students made their way back to campus at the beginning of September and the craziness of serving and loving them in the name of Jesus has not stopped since then. It has been a crazy and fun ride thus far!
We would be ever so grateful if you would join us in praying for the following:
- Incoming Freshmen: Our focus in the first few weeks of the semester has been to welcome and love the incoming class of students. We have had many events and one-on-one meetings in which student leaders and we, the Ministry Fellows, have been able to invite these freshmen into the Christian Union community. Pray that God continues to move in powerful ways as we meet these new students, connect them with other students and, ultimately, as we strive to help them grow deep roots into the realities of the gospel.
- Student Leaders: We now have nearly 20 sophomores and juniors leading various aspects of the ministry! This is an amazing group of students that God has brought together to continue to spread the love of Jesus at Brown. Please pray that He continues to strengthen and encourage those students as they dive into their leadership roles. Pray that as God develops them as Christ-like leaders, that He would also use their efforts on campus for His glory.
- Christian Union Staff at Brown: Laurel Copp has officially joined our staff team as a female Ministry Fellow! Praise God for that! Our team now consists of Laurel, Matt Woodard, Ministry Director, and me. Please pray that He would continue to develop healthy dynamics within our team and that He would better use us to love and serve these students as a team than we could on our own. Pray that He would strengthen us by His Spirit as we dive headfirst into this new ministry season, teaching and modeling the gospel for the transformation of these students and the renewal of this campus and beyond.
