Friends,

By God’s grace, we have officially finished up our third year of ministry here at Brown University. As you read this, students are traveling across the world to visit family and friends, beginning internships, continuing studying and enjoying the rest that the summer months bring.

Their departure reminds us of God’s unending faithfulness to these students, to this place we call College Hill. This year we saw students come together in deeper community with one another, leaders use their gifts to serve one another and the campus at large, God’s Word studied, absorbed and applied, increased desire to see the gospel of Jesus proclaimed in word and deed through individual conversations and larger events alike and, perhaps more than anything, among so many students God has entrusted to our care here at Brown, a deepening love and affection for our Lord and Savior, Jesus. It has been quite the year as we celebrate all the ways God has been at work in our midst!

As we celebrate God’s faithfulness, could you please lift the following up in prayer:

  • Traveling Students: As I mentioned already, many of our students are traveling all over the nation and world. Please pray for their safety. Please also pray that, as they travel, they will pursue Jesus. Pray they make time to get into the Word, pray, involve themselves in Christ-centered community and seek to make Him known wherever they go.
  • Exodus Study: There are several students staying in Providence this summer. This gives us a perfect opportunity to continue building community with them throughout the summer months as well as study God’s Word. We have decided to spend some time in the book of Exodus, and plan on starting that mid-June. Pray that God would help us – Matt Woodard, Ministry Director, Laurel Copp, Ministry Fellow and myself – prepare this study. Pray also that as we read and study, the Spirit would soften all our hearts to receive what God wants to teach us about Himself, that He would empower us to live in light of all we’re learning from the Scriptures.

As always, we’re thankful for your prayers. May God richly bless you in this season!

Grace and Peace,

Justin Doyle
