Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Greetings from Providence! The spring semester is underway as students began the spring semester on January 26th. Covid continues to wreak havoc in the northeast, especially here in Rhode Island. Fortunately, students will be attending classes in person and we do not anticipate any disruptions to our ministry calendar. It has been so wonderfully refreshing to greet students as they return to campus, and the time spent praying with them has been a blessing. We begin Bible courses this week, featuring an in-depth study of the book of Romans with our sophomores and juniors. We’ll be spending a fair amount of time talking with our seniors about vocation, engaging in sustained conversation about what it means to live out their faith as graduates entering their chosen professions.
Please pray for our seniors as they begin a very busy and emotionally draining semester! They have so much happening right now. Pray that they will keep their priorities in order, remain emotionally healthy, and have a strong finish to their academic careers here at Brown.
Pray that our students will find success in their evangelistic efforts as they engage peers and friends with the hope of the gospel. They are filled with hope that dear loved ones will come to know the love of Christ. Pray that our planned outreach efforts will bear much fruit, that all the logistical challenges will come together seamlessly, and that the Lord’s peace will guide and sustain them through difficult conversations.
Finally, please pray for connections with admitted students who will be matriculating at Brown this fall. Pray that we will have many personal conversations with both worried parents and anxious students. And, pray that any fears will be relieved by the presence of a caring, loving community here on campus!
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!
Matt Woodard
