Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Greetings from Christian Union Libertas! We are so thankful for partners like you that support the work here at Brown. We have seen the Lord at work here on campus—lives are being changed as students come to know the deep, glorious love of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have a little more than a month before final exams begin and this academic year comes to an end. Please keep our students in prayer as they begin planning for internships, summer jobs, and travel experiences. We’re consistently impressed by the aspirations of these young men and women! They desire to see change in the world and they’re so eager for personal growth and development. Please pray that as their enthusiasm for new projects grows, any accompanying anxiety and stress will diminish. Pray they would flourish in all that they do over the coming months, and that in every sphere, they would give strong testimony to their faith in Christ.
Over the past month, we’ve held a dinner to welcome interested students and have given away coffee on campus as an act of service and love. Our hope is that any and all students would feel welcomed at the ministry center. We want to be very intentional in demolishing any barriers that would prevent students from walking through our doors and joining our community. So often, students feel a rather natural shyness about exploring the ministry. Or, they may suffer from guilt, shame, or low self-esteem. This is still a time in which students are wrestling with post-Covid realities; we witness emotional and mental health challenges daily. As we engage in campus-wide outreach and evangelism initiatives, please pray that students would know the love, forgiveness, and acceptance that comes in Christ. Pray they would know his healing touch, and his abiding love for them as uniquely and wonderfully made.
Thank you for your prayers, your notes of encouragement, and your generosity. All the best!
Matt Woodard
