Greetings from Providence!
We are in the middle of working around the clock on our month-long freshman welcoming events, but wanted to share prayer requests and some news.
Last week, Christian Union Libertas students met on campus before convocation to pray for the 2028 class and give out Del's lemonade. Students at Brown only pass through the Van Wickle gates two times: at convocation and graduation, while the church bells from First Baptist Church are ringing. We were blessed to be there meeting many familiar and new faces!
Prayer requests for 2024-2025 fall semester:
- Please join us in praying for Bible course retention among all class years. We would like to see this continue to improve. That each student would remember Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of heaven, and make Bible course a priority as we journey through the Book of Mark together.
- Please pray for fruitful discipleship meetings as freshmen connect with upperclassmen. That there would be spiritual depth to their conversations and as a result, we would see many lives transformed by the ongoing work of the gospel.
- Please pray for our upcoming fall retreat with the students at CU Gloria at Harvard. Please pray for students to form rich friendships and keep one another accountable in their pursuit to follow Jesus.
