Happy New Year to you and your family!
As I reflect on Jesus’s last words before His ascension, I’m reminded of the power He has bestowed on believers everywhere to be effective witnesses of the gospel. Here at CU Libertas, we are gearing up for the spring semester and humbly relying on this same power, through the working of the Holy Spirit, to engage the campus at Brown in hearing the life-saving message of the gospel.
We have met together over winter break to begin to pray, listen for the Lord, and prepare for what He has for us to do this coming semester. It will take a dunamis move of the Holy Spirit to work through us as we witness to the lost. What I am most encouraged about is each student's eagerness and fervent prayers to see their peers come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. One student is seeking the Lord for “more boldness” for 2025. She has several friends who have seen the Lord at work through her but who have yet to make a commitment to believe in Him. A male student recently spoke on the need for “more accountability” among the male students, and he is seeking the Lord on ways in which to incorporate this as the semester unfolds.
I wholeheartedly believe for the Holy Spirit to work through each student to confirm the gospel through undeniable signs and wonders this semester! It is fitting that the upperclassmen will be journeying through the Book of Acts this year. The 28 chapters of this book will help stir each student to trust in the power of Jesus to witness, to perform healings and miracles through Him, and to see those farthest from the cross come to believe and be saved.
May the same countless supernatural moves of the Holy Spirit throughout the Book of Acts be evident on our campus.
Please join us in praying for the following:
- A powerful move of the Holy Spirit will overtake the campus in 2025.
- Each student will be filled with the Holy Spirit, operating in the fullness of His power.
- Our witness will be so effective that many would ask, “What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30).
- Salvation will be confirmed through signs, wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 2:3-4).
- Our personal faith will be built up to believe the Lord for even more.
