Greetings from CU Libertas!
We have recently started our spring semester. Students came back refreshed from their break with family and friends. They also came back with an excitement to start Bible courses! At Christian Union, we are blessed with Bible course manuals that are engaging, intellectually challenging and Biblically solid.
Our freshman class is studying the Seeking God lifestyle, which entails a whole-hearted commitment to seeking God through humbling oneself with the help of fasting, frequent and fervent prayer, massive intake of Scriptures, deep and ongoing repentance, faithful obedience, community, and perseverance. I have seen over the years countless students take hold of these spiritual disciplines and in turn, gain much fruit in their lives.
Amaya Allen, our Vice President of CU Libertas, actively engaged in these disciplines her freshman year and each year following. Now as a senior, she comments “having a community of believers who encourage one another to remain faithful and committed to the Lord has been immensely impactful for my faith. I’m daily inspired by how everyone strives to build one another up in faith, remaining strong in prayer for each other."
Claire Piron, a first year student from Belgium, has been attending Bible course since the fall semester. I met with her today over a hot cup of chai during which she joyfully shared how much Christian Union has helped her grow in her faith journey. She exclaimed that she “looks forward to Bible course every week!” She also shared that she will be getting baptized at the end of this month with another young lady in the freshman Bible course. Praise the Lord for raising up leaders in this generation to transform culture!
