“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts.” -Acts 2:46
Home to the students at CU Libertas is the Judson Ministry Center. This is a warm space on campus where student leaders flock together for Bible courses, discipleship meetings, and to break bread with one another. Before spring break, the students arranged a fasting day, prayer, and a meal together at the ministry center. The students agreed to fast for the entire day to pray for the campus, our ministry, and one another. The fast was finished together that evening with prayer and a meal with one another. The word that comes to mind when I think of the growth thus far with CU Libertas is “unity.”
Each student that is actively participating in a leadership role knows the importance of Christian unity, which begins with shared time together, confessing sins to one another, and prayer. I am encouraged by their maturity and ongoing commitment to be “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3) Jesus Himself, when speaking to Peter, commented that "the world would recognize the believers by the way in which they love one another.” (John 13:35) As a ministry, our aim is to reflect the agape love of Jesus to one another and, in so doing, witness to a community that will recognize this supernatural love can only come from a loving God.
In this season we have sown our prayers and committed our ways to the Lord. We believe that the Lord will respond in ways in which we will witness His Holy Spirit, which will soften hearts and change minds to receive the life-saving message of the gospel.
Please join us in praying for the following:
- A powerful release of the Holy Spirit to transform the culture at Brown University.
- Continued times of fellowship where unbelievers will feel the welcoming love of God’s presence.
- Growth in the hearts of the student leaders to continue steadfastly to seek the Lord above all else.
- Testimonies of the Lord delivering, healing, and bringing prodigals home.
Thank you for your generous spirit and your heart to pray and support the work we are doing. We are so grateful for your partnership, and we are here to pray for you as well. Please feel free to submit your prayer requests by responding to this email. The Lord bless you and your loved ones this spring.
In His Love,
