While the weather is cooling down at Cornell, the academics are heating up, as our students have been taking prelim exams over recent weeks. Bible courses have been very well attended and weekly prayer meetings are getting underway. One of our sophomore leaders, an engineering major from Pennsylvania, decided to lead a new prayer meeting on Wednesday nights. We are encouraged that an increasing number of students are feeling led to seek the Lord for personal renewal and wider revival together with their friends.
Our students are continuing to gather for corporate worship at the Mott Center and this weekend there will be a student-led outdoor worship event. Another highlight is the effort students are making to invite their friends to our events. Last week one of our seniors invited his fraternity brother to my Philippians Bible course and he was quite engaged in the discussion! God is working in powerful ways through these students. Please continue to pray:
- For our staff, that we would be filled with God’s Spirit, with love and wisdom, for the sake of the Christian growth and maturity of our students.
- For our student leaders, that they would continue to serve Christ in their various roles for the benefit of the spiritual well-being of their friends in the ministry and students across Cornell’s campus.
- That our Bible courses and prayer meetings would be well-attended and that CU Vita would be known for its commitment to prayer and the Word of Christ.
- For our students, that they would have the strength and perseverance to accomplish their academic duties, athletics, and ministry commitments.
- That Christ and the gospel would be made known through CU Vita and that students at Cornell would grow in the knowledge of Christ our Savior.
- For our student Bible course leaders, that they would have wisdom and insight into the Scriptures and the love of Christ for the students they serve.
We are grateful for you—for partnering with us and praying for us!
