We continue to be encouraged by the ways that our students are growing and maturing in Christ, and the ways that they are reaching out with the gospel of Christ at Cornell. Bible courses and prayer meetings have been well-attended, students are enjoying fellowship at the Mott Center and events like hockey games, pumpkin carving, and hikes. Through it all God is at work to build the community, advance His kingdom, and open doors for the gospel.
In fact, just before sitting down to write this, I was informed that a close friend of one of our leaders has committed himself to Christ! We had been praying for this young man over the past week after hearing about his interest in learning more about Jesus and the gospel, and he was able to visit one of our Bible courses earlier this week. It is amazing to see God at work in our midst to seek and save the lost through the CU Vita ministry at Cornell! We are also praying for another young man who is not a Christian, but who has been attending the same Bible course. Next week we are holding a special outreach team meeting to think more about how we can encourage and equip our ministry in evangelism and discuss more ideas for sharing the good news of Christ at Cornell this year.
- Please pray for this outreach effort and our upcoming meeting. Pray for wisdom and boldness, and pray that God would work to bring His salvation to many more through our ministry and the other ministries at Cornell.
- Pray for our staff, for strength and wisdom, and for love and discernment as we seek to lead our students well.
- Pray for our students, that in the midst of their busy schedules they would continue to make Jesus and His kingdom their top priority, and find their confidence and joy in Him.
- Pray for our student leaders, that they will have courage and boldness to inspire their friends to seek the Lord and share the gospel at Cornell.
Thank you, we appreciate your prayers so much. We couldn’t do this without you!
