Greetings from Ithaca and the CU Vita ministry. We are thankful for your partnership and prayers. As we enter the final stretch of the spring semester, we are looking back with gratitude for what God has been doing in our midst these recent weeks.
Our Romans Bible course has stirred up meaningful conversations about God’s amazing plan of salvation through His Son Jesus, and we have seen it transform many of our students, strengthening their faith and sense of assurance, and motivating them to seek the Lord and serve their Savior at Cornell. Our worship team and several of our student leaders blessed the Cornell community with an Easter sunrise worship service, which was held at the Mott center. Our outreach team recently hosted a testimony and discussion night at Mott. It was a great success with many non-believing friends in attendance where Seika, one of our sophomore leaders, shared her story about coming to faith in Jesus and how the gospel has radically transformed her life. We have been busy meeting with students and confirming their leadership commitments for the coming year. It has been encouraging to see so many students eager to serve, and our new executive team and ministry team leaders are now in place for the upcoming year. Thank you for your continued prayers:
- For our student leaders, that they would walk in a manner worthy of the gospel, serve Christ in the strength he provides, experience his love and joy in the Holy Spirit, sharing the good news of salvation and the glory of God across the campus of Cornell.
- For our staff, that we would have wisdom and strength to guide our students in the ministry and for their progress and joy in the faith, and that we would share not only the gospel of Christ with them but also our very lives.
- For Cornell, that many on this campus would catch a glimpse of God’s glory through our ministry and the body of Christ, and that salvation would come to many in the days ahead.
- For our students, that they would experience joy and strength in the Lord as they finish the spring semester, and that they would dedicate themselves wholly to God and for his service, and desire Him and his glory above all things.
God is faithful. He is working powerfully through CU Vita and his people at Cornell. Thank you for partnering with us to see God’s kingdom flourish among these amazing students.
