Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Greetings from Ithaca!
Classes are back in full swing at Cornell University, and that means that Christian Union Vita is back to work for the Lord here on campus!
Club Fest, the massive gathering of all the clubs at Cornell, took place on Sunday, February 2, and was another great opportunity to expose students to the vibrant ministry of Christian Union. We handed out 50 copies of The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, as well as dozens of flyers attached to Kit Kat candy bars to students. Several of those who stopped by our table have already engaged with us on our CU Vita Group Me, so pray that we continue to expand our reach into the Cornell student community. Our student leaders also engaged with the other groups around us, demonstrating their own personal leadership skills by interacting with others in warm, meaningful (and fun) ways.
Our CU Vita Bible Courses are off to a great start, with students returning from last semester as well as new students joining in. These times together not only provide for solid Bible instruction and deep-dive discussions, but they also provide the foundation for lasting friendship among the participants. The men and women who spend many hours together studying God’s Word, praying and fellowshipping together will find relationships forged that will last their whole lives.
Your support is what makes opportunities like these possible. As the opportunities for ministry on campus increase, I would ask that you prayerfully consider how the Lord would have you give to support our efforts. This could include a special gift of $5,000, which would cover the costs of a Bible Course for a semester. Perhaps you are able to give $10,000 to sponsor a Bible Course for an entire year, or even $25,000 to cover all of our outreach and social events. Whatever you give, each dollar makes an impact for the Kingdom of God, and the benefits are eternal.
Thank you so much for all you do to support the work of CU Vita. As always, if you have any questions about what we do or how you can help us to grow and achieve the vision of making Jesus the most talked about subject at Cornell, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. I would be happy to speak with you.
Pressing On,
