Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
What an incredible month March was here at Christian Union Vita! The winter weather finally lost its hold on Cornell’s campus for some much-needed sunshine and relative warmth, and students and faculty alike experienced lifted spirits and joyful gratitude to feel the sun’s warming rays after months of bitter cold, gray skies, and lots of snow.
Even better was the spiritual heat that occurred on March 20 and 21 when CU Vita, along with campus ministry partners FCA, Cru, AAIV, and several others, hosted Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle!
Cliffe has been doing open-air campus question-and-answer sessions on college campuses for decades, and his son Stuart now joins him in this incredible ministry. Over the course of two beautiful days, Cliffe and Stuart fielded questions from hundreds of students on Ho Plaza. On Thursday night, over 500 students filled Sage Chapel to hear the Gospel clearly proclaimed. As a result of the publicity on campus and social media, the dozens of Bibles and copies of “The Case for Christ” we gave away, plus the events themselves, thousands of Gospel exposures occurred and the name of Jesus was high and lifted up. I personally was able to share the Gospel with two students who both declared they were atheists but spent several minutes engaging with me and took a Bible with them. The Lord is clearly working on our campus, and we are so grateful to be a part of it.
Events like this are able to happen because of your partnership with Christian Union. Your prayers and stewardship make these outreach events and all of our regular campus ministry possible. I cannot say thank you strongly enough to convey the importance of what you do to enable the gospel to go forth on campuses like Cornell.
