Dear Prayer Partners,
As you may well know, Hanover is extremely quiet this time of year, since the vast majority of students are home for their longest break of the year. It has been a good time for us as staff to begin thinking and preparing for a new term with returning students, many of whom we have not seen in months due to off-terms, as well as new Bible Courses.
We will be teaching the book of Acts to our sophomores (‘19s) and juniors (‘18s), the Seeking God Lifestyle to our freshmen (‘20s), and a Vocational and Financial preparation course for our seniors (‘17s). Needless to say, there is much work to be done. We also have jumped into the process of searching for a new Ministry Fellow. Please be in prayer for us in this search, that the Lord might provide the perfect fit for our team and specific needs at Dartmouth.
Students will be returning to campus for their first day of class on January 4th. Soon after that from January 13th-15th we will have our winter conference. A local pastor will be teaching our sessions at the beautiful Singing Hills Camp and Conference Center. We would greatly appreciate your prayers for this event. It is our desire that this retreat would truly be restful and spiritually restorative for our students to begin this term on the right foot, and prayerfully, stay there! It has such a possibility of solidifying those within our community, especially the freshman (‘20s), and for impacting the students with the word of God in incredible ways. Please pray that many students would attend and that the Holy Spirit would do amazing work within the hearts and lives of our students. This conference has been a catalyst for fruit in the past and we long for students to both come to know Christ and deepen their relationship with Him. Thank you so much for your partnership in praying for these students and especially for the upcoming winter conference!
