We are over halfway through the term and have been enjoying a beautiful, mild fall in Hanover. Bible courses have been going very well and the new freshmen (‘21s) are quickly getting plugged into the community. Many have already joined a ministry team and are weekly showing up to our Friday Leadership Lecture Series (The Vine).

We had a very successful fall social in which over 50 students showed up to go apple picking together. As a way of deepening relationships among the ‘21s, our student executive team have planned a freshmen overnighter at a local church. They will have time to fellowship and begin planning for our biggest event of the year, our Thanksgiving dinner. Please pray for that event, that the planning would go smoothly and be Spirit-led, that students would not hesitate to invite friends and that they would feel welcomed and loved, not only by our community, but by our Lord.

Please pray for us as we continue to wait on being officially granted recognition as a student organization on campus. This remains a difficult and complicated task for which we long to see a resolution. Pray for favor with those who are making the decision and for softened hearts of those who oppose us.

For our students, pray for unity, like-mindedness, humility and selflessness. Pray for the advancement of the gospel at Dartmouth through the words and actions of our students. Pray for racial reconciliation and that we would be a people who seek to understand and show grace to one another. Pray against sexual assault, which is so rampant on this campus and that we would be able to be a light in this area and a voice for change. Above all, pray that Christ might be formed in our students and in us to the glory of God and the good of others.

Thank you for your partnership,
