Happy Advent and a Merry Christmas from Hanover!
The students are enjoying their hard earned winterim while the Christian Union team at Dartmouth prepares for a new term in the New Year. We are sad to say goodbye to Julia and Chase Carlisle as the Lord has called them to Texas. This means we are looking for new candidates to fill two Ministry Fellow positions. Please be praying that the Lord brings to us the right people to minister to the Dartmouth students. He knows who they will be and so we are trusting Him and waiting patiently with expectation.
This past term brought many blessings. We are currently busy furnishing our new office space that we moved into at the beginning of the term so that it’s ready to go when students return in January. This office has been a great place for students to study, socialize, and connect with Christian Union faculty. It is awesome to see it filled with students at any given part of the day.
During this season of Advent, we pray that you take a moment to stop, reflect, and give thanks to God for all the blessings He’s given you. It’s a season of waiting expectantly where the waiting is paradoxically maturing and shaping us. It may seem counterintuitive to rejoice in the waiting, but that is what God calls us to do – especially in this season.
Will you join us in praying for the students to find the kind of rest and rejoicing that only comes through faith in the coming Messiah? Let’s all exclaim, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel! with deep longing and hope and trust the Lord to work mightily in this season. Thank you for partnering with us in this work. It truly is a group effort and we couldn’t be a part of the amazing work the Lord is doing here without you.
May God bless you and keep you!
